Resolved: [Bug Report] Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 [NTSC-U/C]

1. Make your own thread.
2. Provide all necessary information as system specs and pcsx2 settings.
3. Best would be to see an emulog after you observed that problem.

1. According to the sticky, it says

Quote:2. Search the Closed/Resolved Bug Reports forum first! If a thread already exists there, see if the proposed solutions fix your bug.
3. Search the bug report forum! We only want ONE thread for each game's region (example: one thread for Disgaea [PAL] and one for Disgaea [NTSC] )

hence, the reason why I didn't make another post and searched the forum. Since this is not a closed/resolved bug, this bug is still a ongoing issue. And since I'm using a North American version of the game, and this thread topic is for the NTSC, I figure I would post here. But if you really want, I can make another thread.

If it was working on 1.0 before then it still is. Get the binary release and extract it to a new folder, then run it from there.
This makes sure you don't use the wrong plugins by accident (since I assume this is a GSdx thing).

I did use the pcsx2 1.0.0 (r5334), which fixes the the text. Unfortunately FPS drops down to 40 with or without turbo, and during battle, FPS drops down to 20. Game freezes during battle sometimes as well and when that happens you have to start all over (not even a save game or save state can fix it).

I have tried multiple settings that some other posts recommended when pcsx2 1.0.0 was working (which is not working now) and still does not work. Any help would be appreciated for all RTK fans.

Thanks to Rayman, i've solved the problem.

While Rayman uses Pcsx2 version 1.00, i used the latest version. Both works fine.

Most important is to use the Gsdx5334 GS. It works for me in SS2, 3 or 4.

I got the GS version Gsdx5334 from Rayman again.

Hi there
Same problem with rotk8. After browsing forum, solution seems to be using gsdx 5334, but it is nowhere to be found. I'm finding loads of gsdx's except 5334. Can someone help me on this?

I would help you find it but it looks like the website that hosts the builds is down right now. :-\

well there is no way around than that, you have to sacrifice a little fps in order to play the game u want bug free
We're supposed to be working as a team, if we aren't helping and suggesting things to each other, we aren't working as a team.

Hi, sorry for bumping, but really this gsdx 5334 can't be found anywhere? It seems to be only solution for RotTK problems, but seems like anything except this can be found.

Can find it here: http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2svn/inde...m=fulllist

Doesn't have 5334 but 5331 and 5336, one of those should work.

But please don't ask for support on old plugin.
