That build is quite old though. If it had been fixed(though GS dump from RotTK 7 indicates it's not) it would've been fixed in a later v1.5.0 build.

Line 159 of GSClut (WriteCLUT32_I8_CSM1), removing the offset fixes it, although that probably "should" be there, but it doesn't work if you do.

Edit: Ok I've submitted a temp fix until somebody who knows what they're doing fixes it properly, this just confuses me (maybe gregory would like to explain the CLUT some day and memory structure, while I stab myself in the eye with an in-use power drill)

Thanks, was annoying having to manually set up my controller but being able to play is worth it. Now I just need to move some files around and remove the newer version, but afraid I will forget to copy something over rofls

I was able to isolate the latest build that does not have the text issue when running ROTK8, which is Build 5612. When you try Build 5613 or later, the issue returns.

I know this is an old post, but since google brought me here, I figured this would help anyone else who was also looking for the latest build that works.
