Resolved: Microvu bug reports official thread
#41
i tried it myself with r1726 and didn't get any crash.

however the game keeps saying "Press START" and no matter how much times i press start (or any other button), it keeps repeating that message and i can't actually get in-game.
I think its always been this way, but not sure.

The crash you're getting is probably not mVU related.

No crash here either, you need to use P.E.Op.S or ZeroSPU2 for the start button thing.

The game is Shadow Hearts. It is running great. Just thought that the unknown micro opcode thing was odd...and could be a bug. Hopefully I'm not wasting space.

I'm pretty sure Shadow Hearts has a bug in it's vu code.
The unknown vu opcode is just bad programming, but the ps2, svu and mvu ignore it.

I don't know if this is serious or not, but in the latest beta microVU1 breaks Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. The start up FMV plays, then at the title screen only the arrow is displayed. Then you can see the loading screens and load fine. When you get in game it's just a black screen with some translucent polygons. The map is displayed. It's only with microVU1 enabled, with it disabled it works.

With it enabled in the previous beta it gave a speed up of about 2% and didn't break any graphics. Though I think it said somewhere in the post that microVU was broken or something for the moment?

Tetsero: Try that again. The last beta rev is 1888.

It seems to be working again along with another bug not related to microVU where this message said something about GS unable to load 8-9 times before transferring to the next area.

It also re-enabled the blue highlighting over New Game, Continue, and Battle Trophies.

JAk series have corrupted shadows with gsdx SW too.
Both with supervU and MicroVU. Both Software mode and hardware mode. Similar to Shadow of the colossus, howerer SOTC's shadows work fine in SW mod

has been the same up to the latest beta. (r1736)

win xp pro by the way.

I beleive you guys rock and are able to fix this with MicroVU one day...
