Resolved: PCSX2 - Black screen - Eragon
#1
Hello people in the bug report forum.
I have a slight problem with PCSX2 v1.5.0 with the game: Eragon
Whenever I start the game in full mode, it shows the Splash Screen, until it goes black and then nothing.
The same with Fast mode, but without the Splash Screen.
I did try out older versions, and only v0.9.8 did something.
The in-game scenery is all distorted.

Picture of distortion

If you want the console for the v1.5.0, then you can find it here: https://pastebin.com/8faD56jC
If you want the console for the v0.9.8, then you can find it here: https://pastebin.com/uD8vhSFm

If you want to know my specs, you can find them here: Specs

Also, I tried all the Graphics Plugins, same stuff.

I've been told that a GS dump was necessary, so here is a dump of PCSX2 1.5.0: Link for the GS Dump

If you have any questions, just ask.

Did you try GSdx 0.9.8 with PCSX2 1.5.0 ? Did you try the SW renderer of GSdx 1.5.0 ?

I have no idea.
Can you give me a step by step on how I check this? Yes. Both of them. That would be nice, since I'm no expert in PCSX2.
Thanks.

What you do is take one of the GSdx plugins from 0.9.8 (GSdx-SSE2.dll for instance) and place it in the folder where PCSX2 1.5.0 is located.

I do so, and I get these outputs from the console:

[wx] Failed to load shared library 'C:\Users\NielsHenrik\Desktop\Alle filer i skrivebordet\Emulator\pcsx2-v1.5.0-dev-1960-ga18d624-windows-x86\plugins\gsdx-sse2-r4600.dll' (error 126: The module wasn't found.)

Did I do this right? Or did I do it completely wrong? (By the way, don't mind the language my filepath is in)

could it be that you didn't update directx ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Directx is "uptodate".
I tried installing the newest, and it told me that the current or newer version is already installed.

Hm.
I guess it's probably not up to date, then.
Download and install this

Okay. After the installation finished, I tried immediately to start up PCSX2 v1.5.0 and update the GSDx preferences and settings.
I tried all the possible rendering settings, but the screen persist at blackness, and nothing loading at all. FPS jumping from 50.00 to 49.99 and then back up to 50.00 repeatedly.
I also tried all the different GS types: AVX2, SSE2 and SSE4; and it still persist to show nothing but the splash screen.
And PCSX2 v1.5.0 still can't load the v0.9.8 GS files. The error is the same as the above mentioned. Error: 126
The PCSX2 v0.9.8 still have the same distortion glitch as before. Nothing has changed in that.
