Resolved-Workaround: [Bug Report] Street Fighter EX3 [NTSC-J]
#1
PCSX2 Version: 1.5.0-dev-2214
CPU options: Default, but tried all clamping modes etc.
Plugin used: GSdx (GCC 7.2.0 AVX2/AVX2) 1.1.0 [libGSdx]  OPENGL Hardware

OS: Manjaro KDE
GPU: GTX 680

Game works perfectly in software mode.  In hardware mode you get an oversized transparent ghost of the image halfway down the screen.  This happens regardless of internal resolution or other settings.

Interestingly this can be resolved on the NTSC-U version of the game by setting "Automatic CRC Level" to Full or Aggressive.  Setting this on the NTSC-J version of the game does nothing to resolve the problem though.

Can you tell me the CRC id for the NTSC-J version? It should be on the top of the console window when you enable the console.

This should add the workaround since the id was missing. See if it works.

Alternatively can you see if Auto Flush fixes the issue with CRC hacks set to None ?

Unfortunately I'm unable to test that .dll, I need a .so for linux.  (Maybe I can test it using the Win version under wine though...)

I tried setting Auto Flush Primitives to On under Advanced Settings and Enabling User Hacks (I'm assuming this is what you meant?) and turned CRC Level to None but it made no difference.

Ah well then can you upload a gs dump of the issue / glitch? That way I will know if the issue got fixed.

I just tested it under Wine and the issue is fixed when CRC level set to Full or Aggressive. Good work! Laugh

I'd still like a gs dump. So I can do some tests and maybe move the hack to Partial which in turn should also make Automatic work.

Sure, GS Dump attached.  Might also be worth adding the CRC of the Street Fighter EX3 Taikenban Disc (Demo/Trial) as that has the same issue, CRC: CA1F6E53

Which region, NTSC-J?

edit: PR created
https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/pull/2123

Might wanna check if the workaround works for the demo/trial version
https://ci.appveyor.com/project/gregory3.../artifacts

Also now you can set the crc hack level to Automatic.
