64-bit isn't a magic "Twice as fast" thing, in fact it's nothing of the sort. The only thing 64-bit can really offer is bigger memory spaces, that's it. If you want extra speed, taking more advantage of things like AVX will make more of a difference in the emulator than anything else.

I'm pretty sure my desktop can handle PCSX2 well enough

Core i5 3570 is definitely enough for all well behaving games, AC5 included.

Even though it's not the K version? I'd no idea it was THAT powerful, but good to know. That was certainly explain a lot actually, but I think games like MGS2 and MGS3 Snake Eater might struggle a bit.

K models are just unlocked for overclocking, other than that they are the exact same as your model
