Road Trip Adventure Lags
#1
I'm trying to run Road Trip Adventure, on PCSX2 v1.4.0 (because when I try to install 1.5.0 it won't recognise any of the GS drivers), but the highest I get is around 60-65% speed.

After opening the main menu, I press quick play and this is what I get on the following screen:
Speed: 60-65%
EE: 45-50%
GS: 70-90%
VU: 99-100%

If I start a race, I can get speed of anything from 75-100% but it's not stable enough that I want to record it (which is the whole point of my doing this*).

For emulation settings, I'm using the Preset 2 settings at the moment, because nothing else I've tried has worked. Hoping somebody can shed some light on this situation.

PC Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
16gb DDR3 ram
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti

The single thread rating on that CPU is around 1500, which is a bit on the low side compared to the recommended rating of 2000. You will have some games that just simply perform poorly. In this case it looks like VU1 is pretty much maxed out. You might be able to help it slightly by setting VU cycle stealing to level 1.

Road Trip Adventure (ISO) and Ratchet Gladiator/Deadlocked (ISO)

If the attachments don't answer the GSdx question then I'll need someone to tell me where to find that info.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

Tried this, but no change unfortunately.
Is it just a case of my CPU can't hack it, do you think?
I can get Ratchet Gladiator/Deadlocked to run fairly well, but Road Trip Adventure is just a mess.

What do you mean 1.5.0 won't recognize your GPU drivers? Can you switch to OpenGL and post the error you're getting?

Scratch that, just had another go at it and now one of the options actually worked (none of them worked when I tried earlier).

Holy crap. Installing 1.5.0 fixed the problem, no fps drops, no slowdown, no nothing.
Sorry for wasting everyone's time, fmlol.
