Road Trip Game Problems

Hi, I've tried everything to get this game running smoothly. Has anyone else played it? Anyway I have a problem with it. Whenever I am at the menus it says im running 500 FPS and the game goes extremely quick and too fast. But when i get into the game, the buildings and environment drop me to around 40-60 and the game is really laggy and does not run smooth at all. Can anyone help me? This is one of my favourite games.

For too fast speed problem, make sure you enable Frame limiting, press F4 to toggle this.

Laggy? Try:

1. Ticking Native in GSdx.

2. Enable speedhacks.

3. Setting your laptop power plan to High Performance.

I've done all of the above, it still runs at around a constant 20-30 whenever I am near buildings in the game.
