His cpu can handle 5 or 6 threads fine. At one point gabest mentioned his 2600k performs best with 6.

I thought 3 will be enough. Anyway, now the op can play the game @80 fps right now in hw mode with mtvu and vu stealing so, I don't think sw mode is a necessity right now.
We're supposed to be working as a team, if we aren't helping and suggesting things to each other, we aren't working as a team.
