#1
Hello.
I was searching this forum for two days and it seems like i'm the only person with such problem.

The problem is:
[Image: 61013400.png]
Just no menu buttons, so i can't run/configure/etc.

I've downloaded PCSX2 Linux 0.9.7 Beta r3119 (06/01/10) from here http://pcsx2.net/files/23949
And then replaced executable with this attachment http://forums.pcsx2.net/attachment.php?aid=23950 because there is no right zlib version for my system.
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04

Hum interesing. Try to change your theme.

For information, there is now an official pcsx2 ppa for ubuntu 10.04 32 bits.. It is not supported, but you could check if it resolves your issue.

Works. But only while running pcsx2. No buttons after closing\opening again.

pcsx2 from ppa cannot be installed by apt, because "packet unavailable" or smth.
Downloaded .deb, installed and:
Code:
$ pcsx2
Interface is initializing.  Entering Pcsx2App::OnInit!
Begin parsing commandline...
pcsx2: relocation error: pcsx2: symbol _ZN12wxSizerFlags24ReserveSpaceEvenIfHiddenEv, version WXU_2.8 not defined in file libwx_gtk2u_core-2.8.so.0 with link time reference

A question, how did you install the package ?

If you use dpkg -i, you must install manually the dependency.

Synaptic. I've just selected every package from ppa and installed them.

Ok.

Could you try remove pcsx2, and wx related package and re-install them. Are you sure that you have the standard wx packages ?

I need to install ubuntu 10.04 (I work on debian) to do advance testing but I do not have time for the moment.

Note: there is bug tracker open for the ppa. Feel free to take a look.

I maybe found an issue.

On the picture I saw that you got the version 2.8.11 (which is a beta version). The default ubuntu version is 2.8.10 I'm afraid if you want to use pcsx2 you must downgrade your package. Note it will perhaps fix the invisible menu.

Downgraded to 2.8.10.
Now pcsx2 starts, log window too.

And no buttons -___-

Code:
$ pcsx2
Interface is initializing.  Entering Pcsx2App::OnInit!
Begin parsing commandline...

(pcsx2:11479): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -5 and height 18

UPD. Oh, wait. I forgot to downgrade some wxpython package. Now buttons works too.
