what do you think guys, is it really a significant difference between SSE3 and SSE 4.1

The speed differance is not that big and mostly only in software mode. Don't expect to get more than a 2-3 FPS boost with SSE4.1 over SSSE3. If you have major slowdowns SSE4.1 won't help much. MGS3 is unfortunately an very CPU heavy game.

It's pretty GPU heavy too.

Of course vista and upwards (xp might even do it) support sse4.1 by default, it is only AVX which requires service pack 1 with windows 7 to work, but you don't need to worry about that.

I already sent the Motherboad manufacturer a message and waiting for their reply before risk updating the bios for nothing, and i'm currently using windows 8.1 with the latest updates.

I noticed that it is heavy from observing the EE and GS but just like you said, i was hoping for some FPS boost cause i got like 5 fps boost switching from SSE2 to SSSE3 with the same settings.

currently at SSSE3 i get on average...
in codec 50 fps
videos and cut scenes from 35 ~ 60
gameplay from 40 ~ 60
this is not totally bad but it is not enjoyable at all, and i refuse to play such a great game like that XD

Updating your bios is not something you should do if your PC is work right. as bad things can happen from time to time so I would be sure you want to risk the bios update just for 1 thing Which in imo wont be worth not with that aging cpu MGS3 are demand to say the lest specially the cut scenes.

Exactly, especially cause i'm not planning to upgrade my PC untill 2015, i guess i'll wait to get a PS3 when they cut it is price (maybe later this year).
