I was watching the SVN and there are numerous references to version 1.0. I was wondering if that was actually the beginnings of a new 1.0 release or if that was something different. Any clarification would be appreciated.

At what point would you consider it to be time to name a version 1.0? What would be the prerequisites for it?
If we can lay out what the requirements of a 1.0 release would be and consider the average speed of development we could probably (very) roughly estimate the release of version 1.0

I apologize if my post was percieved as a "when is it going to be ready" kind of thing. It was nothing of the sort. I was just making sure that it was an "official" 1.0 talk before getting all googly eyed.

But like I said, if we could figure out the prerequisites then maybe we could roughly calculate how long it'd take. Something like...
> 90% games playable.
> support for 4 cores.
etc.
Personally though, I'd kinda say a 1.0 would be due by the end of 2012.

There are no perquisites, 1.0 is just a number, the emulator will continue to improve afterwards. We feel the emulator is in a reasonably mature state at the moment, many games are playable. Most of the major titles especially.
