Save data issues - Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies (USA)

Hi, I'm having a particular with Ace Combat 4 where the game is not recognizing my save data on the memory card file. I have checked on the BIOS and there is definitely a save file there, but the game simply refuses to acknowledge it.

Here's the file on the BIOS' Browser:
   
Yet on the loading screen in game: 
   
Nothing.

I'd be grateful if anyone could assist or provide some advice for dealing with this problem.
