If it's not the exact same BIOS and version that could very well be the issue.

I'm not sure why I had to, I tried the BIOS I had, no luck. Is there a way to check what BIOS was in use previously?

You should only be using the BIOS you dumped from your real PS2... per the rules.

So it's defiantly the same one I was using. Don't think that's the problem.
