Savestate Slot now Empty
#1
Hi Guys,

First of all, sorry if this is already an issue thats been solved previously...

Ive been playing Suikoden 5 for the last couple of wreks without any issues, until today. I went to open the game and load state that ive been using and all of a sudden its saying its empty and all my progress has gone.

This pc only gets used by myself for PCSX2 and noone has deleted anything without me knowing.

Is there any known solutions at all????

Thanks in advance

do you have anything in your savestates folder ?
Else, be prepared to reload from memcard instead of savestate

hmmm there actually seems to be a couple files in there yeah and the correct time the save would have been created.
Ive never had an issue with savestate over the years, so ive only done it that way because it was so easy.
Unfortunately i hadn't use the memory card save for this game yet...

if you have a .bak savestate file, maybe renaming it would save you.
just as a side note : relying on savestate solely is a bad idea.
they can easily corrupt whereas classic memcard saves are much more stable

The 2 files i had sitting in there were:
SLUS-21291 (BCD0B7CD).00.p2s.backup
SLUS-21291 (BCD0B7CD).00.p2s.tmp

Tried giving it a new name in the hope that it would work but no good Sad

Duly noted about the memcard

You sir/maam are my hero. something so simple...
Any idea why that would have happened?

there are many possbilities for this issue to ccur. (like using mtvu speedhack)
Hence the automatic .backup renaming.

It's still safer to use internal saving /memcards
