How much are you willing to spend? You can get a GTX 1060 or 970 for around $200. They're on the lower end of the high range cards, but they run things pretty well.

It's hard to do that. You basically just plug it into the motherboard and download some drivers and you're all set.

I would save up but this isn't my computer. It's my parents. They would freak out if I broke the computer.

Then you probably won't have any other choice than using software mode.
But it'll be slow

I suggest you keep playing on your ps2 until you can afford a decent PC.

I just fixed the black screen in 1.4.0 And it doesn't lag in the title screen.
