USB works again, however bluetooth still doesn't work.

shows in the device config as BTH  DS3 Device

You must not run the service and the server at the same time, that's why I included the warning message! The service essentially does exactly the same as the server, plus it makes sure your dongles and controllers have the correct drivers assigned on every service start. I will ditch the server executable in future releases as it seems to just confuse people, if you need to know the status of your dongle or controllers, please use the monitor. All of your logs look well, please try pairing your controller again with just the service running. Reboot your machine and press the PS button. Nothing more. Optionally start the monitor to see what's going on.

Excl I repeat as this is important for all users

If you start the server and get this message:

Everything is hunky-dory! The service is running and (hopefully) doing it's job in the background. Verify it with the monitor:

Done! No server start-up necessary.

Edit: After trying to uninstall again using ScpDriver, I was still stuck with SCP BTH device for my adapter. I tried uninstalling through device manager and selecting delete drivers but still they reinstalled as the Scp device. Eventually the right drivers installed (beyond generic which it was doing before). Now I have my host address back.

Looking more closely in ScpControl.ini, the DS3 Mac Address supported are 00:24:5C and 00:26:5C, but my controller MAC begins with 00:26:43. Is that why I can't connect? Is it possible to add the ability to since it's an actual DS3?

Edit again: I don't know what happened but I was playing a game for a bit and when I unplugged my controller to be done for the night it connected to bluetooth. I am just going to assume Nefarius is a genius.

Glad to hear Biggrin Not so much a genius as a mad scientist Laugh

However, I'm still having my problem of Windows 8.1, 64 bit overwriting the bluetooth driver after a couple days. At that point, I either need to re-do it with ScpDriver, or use Zadig (saved from an old scp version) to get the firmware fixed again.

Again, I've already set the Windows settings to not automatically choose the firmware settings. Any other ideas?

Do you reboot the machine every day or do you keep it in standby/hibernation over a couple of days? The driver verification only happens once at service start e.g. at boot-up.

Yes, I shut down every night that the computer is in use. Which ends up being most days. I imagine it's the rebooting that's rewriting the drivers, but I don't understand why it would since I've toggled that Windows setting off.

However, I have done an initial reboot after getting it all set up and working and confirmed that it is able to retain after at least one reboot. It's just later on when I got to turn on the controller that I realize it's no longer connecting to bluetooth and then I see the driver has defaulted.

Hello was installing scp server and got some problems, the command works well for bluetooh 1 but 2 and 3 controllers dont work.

The controler 2 always gets as BTH 00000000 None and the controler 3 is always as Reserved connected via USB or disconected, see the print that I have attached ...

What did I do wrong?

still doesn't work with the dongle, monitor says reserved when unplugged, is it because it is a BT 3.0 adapter? it said ti was backwards compatible with BT2.1 + EDR

Hi, i've run into a problem that i can't find a solution anywhere
Up until recently ScpServer was working perfectly, but after a few days of not using it simply decided that it doesn't want to function anymore, whenever i uninstall and install again it says that it has installed properly, here's the summary:

Indeed the Xbox 360 controller icon appears on the control panel, but none of the inputs works and the icon remain there even if i disconnect the DS3 from the USB port (I'm not using bluetooth, my install was only with the "Configure Service" and "DS3 Driver" options checked), SCPMonitor.exe says Host Address: Disconnected while Pad 1 is saying "DS3 00:00:00:00:00:00 - Reserved", my controller value only says "PLAYSTATION®3 Controller"
Through the whole time all the 4 lights on the DS3 is blinking slowly and sometimes when connecting it doesn't flash the lights at all, only flashing when i disconnect it, the control functions perfectly on my PS3

Apologies in advance in case i didn't report more info

Edit: Problem solved on post below

Kyonne, did you have the controller plugged in while running SCPDriver? It almost looks like it didn't install the controller driver. One thing you might try is use the uninstall option, then in Device Manager open the controller properties and on the Driver tab click uninstall and choose Delete the drivers software for this device. Once that's done, right-click anything in there and scan for new hardware. After it re-installs the default drivers then run the install again.

Yes it was plugged, i've also tried uninstalling and installing the SCPDriver several times
For some reason the uninstall option is grayed out in the driver management, but before i did try installing through a different USB port which had me install the controller drivers once again, yet it also didn't work

Edit: It's all cool now, made it work by using the little reset button on the back of the controller, i guess i should've tried this earlier

I'm having a similar problem with USB.  I have a DS3 and a DS4.  There's always an entry like USB 00000000 None in SCP Monitor.  I can use the controllers with USB or Bluetooth just fine so long as I move them above the "blank" controller.    It would be a great annoyance gone if it could be fixed.

Thanks!
