Severe lagging in game

so i recently got this emulator because i had the interest to play castlevania lament of innocence again, however i'm experiencing severe lag when playing at speeds of 40%-60. I'm certain my specs should be able to run it but i'm having no luck searching the forms for a fix that works for me. Pc specs are Windows 10, Intel i7-6700k 4.0 GHz, Nvidia 960, 32Gigs of DDR 4 ram. If any one could help i would greatly appreciate it.

I forgot to mention the version i am currently using is 1.4 of PCSX2

You didn't post your pcsx2 graphic settings. Also, make sure you have your computer set to high performance, and your NVidia 3D settings to Prefer Maximum Performance

Ok so changing the nvidia settings completely overhauled the speed. in menue it runs at 300% while in game its from 125-150. Also where might i find the Graphic settings so i can post them for you?

i realized the overhaul was due to me disabling frame limiting, but i actually believe that was all that was necessary to fix it. Thank you so much i greatly appreciate your help!

Can you try pressing f4 while playing to see if it goes too slow again
