Shadowman 2nd Coming
#1
So the last post about this game I could find is very very old and my own thread was back in 2013 I think so thought I'd just post this.

The texture issues are still here in 1.6, was hoping it would be fixed.

Has anyone found a workaround for this game yet? Seems it's an emulation issue in general as I get the same problem when using Free McBoot and even on my PS3 I have the missing textures. Sadly I can't play this using the disc as my PS2 doesn't read discs anymore.

I know that Prafull has been doing a great job patching games, especially with his recent Primal patch, has he done anything with Shadowman 2? Can't seem to find anything.

You can fix the textures by patching your .bin file (presuming you ripped your disc)

you will need a hex editor and you will need to find the pattern as listed here: https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/issues/64...-570377449

If your crc is 60ad8fa7 you can use attached patch and exe to fix shadowman 2. You will have to go to manual gamefixes and enable Shadow man 2 hack.

Ok so the textures are loading, which is awesome.

Although, after the first cutscene as soon as it shows the bear I need to get to, Shadowman becomes a garbled mess, which has always happened in my experience.

It affects some of the enemies as well, I'm using the hack in the exe you gave me. Any idea what might be causing it? I'm running only recommended speedhacks and the special hack you provided. I tried OGL and D3D11.

Doesn't happen to me so can't tell the reason. Disable mtvu because that hack doesn't like it.

Sadly now, my game crashes after a few minutes. Haven't even been able to get out of Dead Side in the beginning of the game.

It just freezes and GS goes down to 0%

I'll play around with some stuff and see if I can find the problem.

Ok, quick update incase anyone else plays this game (doubt xD)

So I disable MTVU as prafull said to avoid the characters freaking out but the game kept freezing up after a minute or 2.

I managed to get about an hour's time now. I also disabled mVU Flag Hack and it seems the game is running fine now.

Thank to everyone who helped Smile
