Silent Hill: Origins
#1
Hi all.

I've got your latest emulator for the computer, version PCSX2_0.9.7_(r3119)_Binaries. I'm finally able to run Silent Hill: Origins on my pc!!

However.....

When I'm in a dark room and my flashlight (torch) is on, there's this weird graphic glitch. I'll post two links/ screenshots: one's a full-screen shot, and the other's a "windowed" shot:

Do you see it? There's all this "choppy blackness", leaving me a very small viewing area.

Is there any work-a-round or "tweak" for this? Something I can do in the Config / Video (GS)?

I'd appreciate any help or tips!

Thanks,
Pez

Right. Currently only software mode can fix this issue.
And yep, we know it's slow Tongue2

There are other games where software mode is fast enough but this thread is about Silent Hill: Origins where it will be slow...

Hi all; thanks for the replies.

This "gsdx" software mode? How exactly do I enable it?

When I launch the emulator, click on "Config" and go down to "Video (GS)", there is something labeled "GSdx 3068 (MSVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.16", but it's grayed out, so I cannot click on it.

So if you could, please tell me how to enable this software so I can see if it's better graphics-wise (even if it is slow).

Thanks,
