Well, he wasn't interested in most powerful system for the money - where obviously big box PC would be best, but rather in small and useful system, which probably costs more, or performs worse, or both, compared to a box PC - but is smaller and looks nicer.

Also, this system for $760 is without SSD and RAM.

However, for another $40 you get the same system with much nicer CPU I7 4710HQ instead of the relatively weak I5-4200H - http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-i7-4710HQ...B00OJZVGFU . This system will actually be able to play most/all games in PCSX2 quite nicely IMO.

Though it's still not perfect. It apparently performs well but the fans are very noisy and it sometimes throttles the CPU due to it not being able to dissipate all the heat.

IF he really wants the best for a little cheaper there is always the

i5 4570R version of the brix which has a desktop class haswell running at 3.2ghz with the iris pro 5200 gpu which should easily handle 2x-3x in most games

I know that a full desktop would be the best in terms of power/cost, but I am looking for something that is smaller.

Thank you all for your advice.
