as said above, sly series are a GPU hog

*post task manager during emulation
*install coretemp show us the temperatures.

But, yeah many noobs tend to think that.

Keep in mind your PC is actually unable to run PS2 games.
Why ? Because it's not a PS2.
But it's able to emulate them.

Problem is sometimes, emulation won't cut it with some weird instructions the game passes to the console. It's just not emulated properly

try using directx hardware mode instead of opengl. also try with or without MTVU enabled.

it'll be less accurate than OGL renderer, though.
Some effects aren't properly rendered with D3D renderer (like shadows, IIRC).

depends on what you mean by "function".
Anyways, D3d renderer will bring other problems with sly series that will eventually make the games unplayable.

But who cares, since it "functions",right ? Wink
