Star
So I went to gamestop and bought socom2
popped it in my CDDVD Drive and got the
SPR MFIFO Write outside MFIFO area
Repeating on my Status Log.
Everything is Fine, but once the PS2 logo flashes
off it fails. Multihack is on Speedhacks are off
Emulation is on Full, and Extra+Preserve.
Running 9.8 Beta. Now What Im going to try,
is turning off movies, and see if that works, otherwise
Socom2 may not be playable still. Socom3 works which is
good.Cool as an added side not everything else in the log
says everything is fine, but ill come back if the .disable movies/cutscene
hack does anything or nothing. ______________EDIT: NOPE..same thing..guess it wont work. Unless anyone has any ideas.

Not a valid bug report, moved.

Try enabling gamefixes or playing with an old version of PCSX2. Other than that, compatibility list says it's not working in 0.9.7 so not weird that you get those results.

In all we now have around 65% of all tested games marked as playable, and at least 85% get "ingame".
This means that over 1500 of the tested games are fully playable!

thats why I tried it, new version, maybe new compatibility capability,
so it is shocking to get those results, though not all games will work,
Socom3 works , Final Fantasy X works, why not Socom2, just some trial and error, basicly it doesnt work, I get it, just dont flame me.

Well you did say that 85% get ingame. Perhaps SOCOM2 is one of the 15% that don't. You can't really compare different games via their compatibility, even if in the same series (like comparing socom 2 and 3). Each game is more or less a separate entity over whether or not it will work compared with all other game. This isn't always the case, though, as some companies (Like Factor 5) use non standard libraries and less documented and supported features. It's entirely possible that there was an engine switch between socom 2 and 3 that makes only 3 compatible, or any number of other factors that affect Socom 2's playability. And nobody will flame you Smile Most everybody around here is quite cool. Cool

is ur logo an iron maiden logo? anywho yeah I understand all of that, and they did switch, they went from zipper to something else or the other way around, cant remember. Sure enough though, this emulator has gone a long way. wish I couldve helped with it.

It's funny when people say "I wish I could help". I think the devs are quite happy just seeing how many people love what they've done. So really, you are helping, by raising morale. Wink

Just maintain appreciation and support. It does more than you may think.

On the other hand, if you know coding (C++), get your butt over to Google Code. You can still help with development. Tongue
