Some help with widescreen on Silent Hill 3

The game appears to be squashed.

I've found a widescreen patch here: https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PCSX2-Widescreen-Helper
But was wondering if it's compatible with PCSX2 1.6.0
Or if you have any other suggestions.
Extra question: Is there a way to make the text look smoother?

The up-to-date Widescreen codes for SH3 can be found here: https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PCSX2-Wi...#pid271674
To use it, create a directory inside your PCSX2 directory (or the one in Documents\PCSX2 if you're using the installer version) called "cheats_ws" then put the pnach there.

I assume you have the Silent Hill 3, NTSC Version.Then you can try out this Patch:

It makes also the Game Sharper and removes the World Borders.
