Yes, if you've actually read this thread you'd know that this is the case here.
Nevermind.

Get an unofficial DX10?
These use some kind of a software wrapper to execute DX10 instructions. I wouldn't expect any kind of good performance from them.

None of those DX10 for XP actually work properly...not to mention they are probably illegal,so don't suggest that around here.

Yes, I've read original thread but it's about 3rd episode and I'm concerned about 1st.
Thanks everyone for replies. I'll try vista soon and post results here.
It's the same engine in each, only pimped up in subsequent releases. Sometimes pimping changes various emulation-related things, but Xenosagas are fairly homogenous.

Nstorm, I can play the game finely on my 2.4 C2D. You should really try DX10.

*reading your signature* hmm... I could probably try W7. I really don't like vista and the xenosaga is the only thing I need it for atm.
Also it seems weird to me what under XP (DX9) the software GSDx renderer is faster than a hardware one.

It was explained a few posts back. And yes, you could try W7, it's fantastic IMO. Tomorrow is the official public release date for the RC. It's like Vista, but better, faster and snappy like XP. You shouldn't go wrong with this. ;)

Exactly, try to get the RC (you think this is just a coincidence? haha). It's the best of the three OS (XP, Vista and 7).
I play my FF at full speed (FF12 used to slow in cutscenes, but since the new vu steal hack it is awesome). As I said, try to get 7, you won't regret it as a daily OS and it will even improve your pcsx2 benchmarks (quite probably)
