Win XP PRO
sp3 32bit
WDC 200gb SATA Harddrive
HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH15L SATA Drive

using PCSX2 0.9.6 beta

is this good enough?

Pentium D is on the weaker side and so is the 9600, but, with speed hacks and the latest supported beta, it could work.

ok finally got game to actually play using ZZ ogl 0.18.165. but video is laggy and audio is choppy. cannot not seem to get the game to be in sync. anybody has any suggestions please would love to hear and try different ways to configure this.

The Guitar Hero games are known to run poorly, even on much better machines than yours (Same is true for Rockband as well). Because of the nature of the games, they're pretty much unplayable unless they're running at or near full speed, so you're better off sticking with playing them on your PS2 for now.
