Splinter Cell Bug
#1
First of all, Hello guys!
I'm new to this Forum and I already got a problem.
I installed PCSX v1.2.1 and it's running pretty good so far. I emulate Splinter Cell Double Agent because I wanted to play the PS2 since it's entirely different from the PC version.
The Singleplayer worked fine, but now I'm stuck in Coop Mode. There is a door that should open automatically, but it doesn't. That Door is the only way to continue the Level, so it's impossible to go another way.
I already tried Cheat Engine to find the Coordinates of the Player, but changing them doesn't do anything, I also tried to find the Attributes for the Door, but that's even harder, since it doesn't respond to anything i can't find it's values.
That problem seems to only occur with the emulated version. In the Walkthrough Videos of the Game, on a PS2, the door always opens properly.
So I don't know what else to do.
Did anyone here play that game thru PCSX?
The Door I'm talking about is a double door, in the First Coop Level after the Foundry, on the way to the Geothermal Plant

Do you use cheats or widescreen patches (I guess I already know the answer...)?
If so - try saving the game with the in-game save function (memcard). Then reboot the game and load the save from the memcard.
See if that works.

If not please show all settings as well as a full emulog after the problem occurred.

I already tried enabling and disabling cheats and patches, didn't change anything.
The Log says GSdx: failed to compile external post-processing shader.
But don't think that a shader could cause that problem. I tried loading from the Memcard aswell as the Saveslots. That doesn't make a difference either.
Can the ROM 1, ROM 2 and EROM skipping be a possible issue?
Here's the whole LOG

Probably not the problem.

No. Normally these are not required for emulation.

It will be lot helpful if you can upload a savestate made using latest git build around that part of the game because from walkthrough I realized it's almost after the first three parts of the mission 1.

Also do read the walkthrough, may be you missed some part?

I played it thru 3 times, and watched multiple walktrhoughs, there doesn't seem to be something I missed.
I extracted the Savegame with MyMC so you should be able to just import it.
It's right before you hack the PC and find the Blueprint, that should open the door

Also, try loading your save from your memory card rather than loading from savestates and Check whether the problem persists.

tried importing your savegame on your Real PS2 Memcard, then get past this part using your PS2 ?
Just to make sure this is a pcsx2 problem.
