Star Ocean 3 - Blackscreen after Video sequence
#21
What program you used to made this iso? Some of them are pretty bad in case of ps2 dvd's even while the rip seems ok at first..

Or it's just something with GSdx on DX9 heh, then only OS upgrade would help you =_=; I had no problems at all, and I literally just passed this optional dungeon now... but I'm on DX11. Other stuff shouldn't matter as I had pretty much everything else on default and most speedhacks turned ON. Edit: Actually if you tried software mode already, that stuff above about GSdx versions is just a creation of my tired mind, damn tiresome day;P, just ignore it, left for lols. O.o

I used UltraIso for creating my iso - what program did you use?
OS upgrade? Geez, don't scare me like that, I'm mentally not ready for Win7. ^-^

I'm envious of you - I want to play without problems too. *sigh*

Sorry for that OS thingy, but like I added, it's probably not the case, especially you tried software mode already.

For making iso from ps2 game ultraISO could be the reason of your problems I found somewhere
Code:
It doesnt preserve the LBA table correctly
soo try imgburn which seems to work for everyone and is recommended here, and most likely the new iso will allow you to continue without blackscreens.

You made my day - that worked. Thank you Smile
Can I ask another question? Do you know by chance how to solve the dragon-flute riddle?
As far as I know you have to play 4 different songs (happy, playful, sad and angry) by tapping the circle key with different intensity. How can you do that with the keyboard? Is there a special way to configure lilypad?

I only get the hard-button-press-songs (sad and angry), but I cant figure out how to play the other two songs were you have to just lightly tab the circle button.

I think this is the problem dralor already mentioned some posts before. (click for the post).

Update: The problem is solved... well kind of. With lilypad I can only play the "hard" songs, so I changed to the SSSPSX Pad, which can only do the two "soft" songs, so I just have to switch between plugins. It feels kinda retarded but well, it works. ^-^

On the pad I guess there is a plugin with sensivity, but keyboard, aw well dunno, I don't play everyday soo wasn't there yet. Maybe some cheat or custom hack could help, I'll probably not get there before weekend soo I dunno myself. Would be easy if light or hard pressure could be set as different keys. Althrough if "sensivity" of keys in lilypad does affect pressure, you can probably decrease it to use as light pressure, never used it before so not soo sure if it's really for that.

Edit - oh yes, you can:
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-How-to-ge...#pid130016

like you see you can just set 2 different keys for same button, with different sensivity - simple:3 That's probably all problems solved, have funOhmy

Yreah that was the problem which I spoke of. Most people solved it by mapping different sensitivity to different buttons if I recall correctly.

If running an ISO file: Dismount the ISO from any program like daemon tools etc. Then CDVD->Choose ISO, then ISO selector->Browse, find your ISO and System->Boot CD/DVD (fast)
If running from a DVD disc: CDVD set to "Plugin", Config->Plugin/BIOS selector->On CDVD choose Gigaherz CDVD->Configure it and choose your proper DVDrom drive letter and finally System->Boot CD/DVD (fast)

Also maybe it's time to install Service Pack 3 for Windows XP Tongue

the game runs fine it is just at random cut scenes the screen goes black and the music continues to play. I've also converted my game to an ISO via isoburn hoping that would help but didn't.
