I checked my temperature with Core Temp and while they certainly are high they are not overheating.
I have the service pack, yes.
I tried changing the sound settings but nothing changed.

..ran out of ideas. Maybe you could diagnose the problem by comparing the 2 PCs and checking if they both have identical PCSX2 settings or not

I would if I could but my friend had unistalled his PCSX2 so I do not know which settings it worked on.

You could start by setting PCSX2 to default settings and seeing if that helps any. If you are using 1.0.0 try using the latest SVN version and seeing if that helps any or if you are using an SVN try using 1.0.0 instead.
