Guys I just wanted to know whether I can run anygame at fullspeed. I want to be able to play ICO or Godhand... but I need to know if my pc can handle it, please help me.

Your GPU is great. CPU isn't too bad, just a little slow. You'll most likely need speedhacks for most games. I'm sure you could get fullspeed with some games.

I think you'll get fullspeed, or at least close to it with Godhand. Can't say for sure about ICO, but I'd bet you need some speedhacks.

I should say, I'm considering how your system would do under Windows Vista/7 with DX10 support. Under Windows XP, one could assume the potential for lesser results.

Well I read the intro post to this thread, which says "Laptop Processors:

We do not recommend the use of any laptop machines on the emulator unless otherwise mentioned above, if it supports SSE2 then it may work. if it does not have SSE2 then it is likely it will be extremely slow and have emulator compatibility problems." but since my laptop is new I wasn't sure if it would still apply.

It runs an i7 at 1.60GHz but can run up to 2.80GHz which supports SSE4.2. The graphics card is a Moblity HD 5780. So my question is will I be able to play four games I own on the road (Final Fantasy X & XII, Kingdom Hearts I & II [all of which are versions which are compatible according to the compatibility list) with this laptop and if so, will I need to speed up the processor or can I get by at 1.6GHz? Thanks for the help.

you will HAVE to speed it up, to at least 2.2 (FF12 is the main problem) the others whould be ok with some speedhacks.

the turbo mode will help you..2.4GHz @ Dual core mode i think for the i7 720qm
i5 430m 2.26GHz 2.53GHz Turbo / ATi Mobility HD5650 @ 450/800 1Gb GDDR-3 / 6GB DDR3 / 500Gb HDD + 1Tb USB 3.0 / 17" 16:9 LCD / Win 7 x64

turbo mode probably won't work right

You could try forcing it by setting affinity to 2 (real) cores. Works pretty consistently for me.

On the FFX-2 CPU Benchmark:
i7-860 (Turbo enabled, affinity to Core 3 & 4) ~60 FPS
i7-860 (Turbo disabled) ~52 FPS
