In terms of emulation, that's not exactly true since it's a gs thread over the ee thread.

You're right, emulating either component at full speed requires a certain amount of cpu performance.

cpu is ok but graphic card is little bottleneck here! you can play some games at 2x but most of the games in only on native with playable fps!

Yeah, if you can upgrade the graphics card it will do great in pcsx2. I have the same CPU, and it's amazing. Even some of the most demanding games run fine. In pcsx2 you would have to OC a FX 8350 to about 5ghz to get similar performance.

Thanks for your reply. I've been on the fence about building a gaming PC for some time. When I realised I couldn't run PCSX2 on my current set-up, well that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Looks like I went a little overboard with the components though!
