Strange controller issue in Gran Turismo 4
#1
I'm using a Leo Bodnar BU0836A joystick controller and, after assigning all of the inputs normally, absolutely everything works great for me, except for the input axis that I use for my accelerator pedal. The accelerator axis works intermittently in the emulator, or not all, and I usually get one application of the accelerator pedal in a driving session, until I let off and try to accelerate again, then input is just dead.

The strange part: All of axes register perfectly in jstest, even while the accelerator input is not working in the emulator. Also, if I swap the inputs for my accelerator pedal and my brake pedal in PCSX2, both inputs work perfectly, it's just that my pedals end up being reversed. Because jstest registers the input perfectly, and because I can swap the inputs around in PCSX2 and have them work perfectly, I can only guess that the issue is related to the emulator itself.

Also, I just want to say thanks to all of those who've worked to develop PCSX2, it's absolutely amazing to be able to play PS2 games without the old and limited hardware and without having to worry about physical discs.

Also, I'm not sure what details I should add about my system, but I've tried many different versions of PCSX2, without any change to the problem. I've tried at least two of the most recent stable releases, as well as many of the most recent nightly builds. Almost every setting within PCSX2 is default, except for the controller bindings and some of the rendering options.
