nope, it's not that Smile, cuz i used to play pcsx2 on an Intel Pentium D and i was somehow able to use the SSSE3 version Smile (and that was like a year ago Tongue), and it's not like i'm confusing it with my cpu Tongue

then you got a special ssse3 edition of it, cause even the official intel data sheets only show sse2 and sse3 support. modded it yourself with a soldering iron? Laugh

"This CPU does not support SSSE3"
by doing so,most likely a lot of peoples will stop ask about this.
the ammount of people that think SSSE3 = SSE3 wouldnt be lower, they'd just think it is a typo or just unable to see the extra S, so... by sayin SSE 3.01 people may think they're missing that extra .01, if saying SSSE3 people may think it is a typo
then why not just make the message as this: "This plugin won't work with your pc, please use the SSE2 version" Tongue

Er, oops. That's what I get for skimming everything too fast. Regardless, if the emulator only detects SSE3, it's not gonna use SSSE3, so my advice is still valid! >.>

Pentium D have SSE3 support (introduced in Prescott Pentium 4 single and dual cores), but not SSSE3 (Core 2 Duo). If only SSSE3 had been named SSE4 to remove all this confusion.

Thanks for all your replies!

But how on earth should people be able to keep an overview to all those cryptic shortenings and stuff?

And I already thought the processor infobox gave me wrong information.

you are not supposed to have an overview. if you had, you would be able to make a rational purchase decision, and rational customers are the enemy of every marketing department Wink or intel just thought noone would give a damn Laugh
