Street Fighter Alpha Anthology

LeSharK:
These slow games are most likely using emulation themselves to run on the PS2.
Emulating consoles often stresses the hardware in unusual ways.
It wouldn't be surprising if these developers used the GS in a very slow way (slow to emulate on a PC, okay on a PS2).
What happens when you select your title from the menu is that it starts using that slow rendering mode.

It doesn't have much to do with the game itself, just the way it is presented.

i see.. can this be improved with a hack/workaround in a future version?

No, I don't think so.
When games use emulators themselves is the time when PCSX2 has to be as exact as possible.

I tried the game here and got 80FPS with software rendering. So this issue will solve itself once
faster machines become mainstream.

Sorry for bumping this old thread but I am still having this problem. My specs are as follows:
Intel Core i7-4770K | EVGA Z87 FTW (ATX) | OCZ Vertex 4 512GB (Windows 8.1.1) | EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SC | Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3 2400MHz
I am currently using PCSX2 1.2.1 r5875. I have better specs than the OP. What other remedies are there available to counteract this issue?
