Stuck at "Select Language" Screen

Alright, so what happens is when i press "Reboot CDVD (Full)"  it shows the 3 logos:  Sony Computer Entertainment, the Playstation logo, and the PS2 logo...... but then after that it shows a screen that says "Select Language" and words from other languages i don't know. So i really need help with this and I'm using PCSX2 1.0.0 (Yes I know its probably a WAY outdated version of the emulator)

because you didn't configure your BIOS, like you did on your real ps2 console the 1st time.
download latest stable version (at least) and try again.
1.0.0 is unsupported.
