Suikoden III Problems

I have just downloaded Suikoden III and My FPS ranges from 40-60 depending on where I am but the game still seems to be in slow motion and the music is choppy as well as slowdowns reoccurring. I've only started playing the game. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm very computer illiterate and I tried following the guides but I'm not sure if I did so correctly.

My specs are:

HP Pavillion dv6 Notebook PC
Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
8.00 GB (6.45 usable) RAM
Windows 7 64-bit
DirectX 11
Intel® HD Graphics Family
Current Display Mode: 1366 x 768 (32bit) (60Hz)

I also have the latest PCSX2 downloaded (1.2.1) and my configuration has my EE Cyclerate at 2 and my VU Cycle Stealing at 1. MTVU is also enabled. I also have my GS Plugin to the SSE2 one.
