Suikoden III screen tearing
#1
I am having a lot of screen tearing in Suikoden III. Using HW D11 or D9 (little less with D9), native x3 resolution, no speedhacks enabled, activating Vsync doesn't change anything. I am using 1.3.1 rev_641. Any help? Thanks.

Try to use it.

Many user reported so far that the vsync option is not working properly in pcsx2. The only solution is to use an external program. Windows Aero seems to be the best solution. Don't ask me why.
I have windows aero activated and don't have tearing.

Thanks, I tried and it worked but isn't there any other fix? I don't want to use aero everytime I use the emulator.

Any gpu control center installed? They often supply per-game settings. These often include some vsync.

Don't like aero?

create a new batch in your pcsx2 program dir:

Code:
start uxsms
pcsx2.exe
stop uxsms

You might need to replace the pcsx2-Filename by your current version. uxsms seems to control windows aero.

No, I don't like Aero, I don't have any gpu control center installed and the batch idea didn't work either. Windows can't find uxsms. I played many games and there is always some screen tearing but nothing major, in this case is pretty bad.

Sry... bad copy paste. According to google it should be:
Code:
sc start uxsms
pcsx2.exe
sc stop uxsms

I just tried it and it works nicely. Actually interesting that it is that fast.....

Tried the new code but it doesn't work either, now it says Start service ERROR 1056, Another Copy Of This Application is Already Running. The only thing that works is Aero, I also noticed that with Aero even without Vsync active on pcsx2 there is no screen tearing. Thanks for the help anyway.
