Super Low FPS in High End Rig
#1
Hi. I'm currently using the latest version of PCSX2 to play Guitar Hero II on my Acer Nitro 5: Thanos Edition

Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time playing because of low fps and speed. Whenever the song plays the speed will be stuck at 50% and the fps is always capped at 30fps.

My laptop is powered by GTX1050, 8GB of RAM, and a Quad-Core Processor (@3Ghz)

Could you please help me with this one? Thank youu.

This is not a high end system.

The Intel® Core™ i5-7300HQ 2.5 GHz; Quad-core will not be enough for every game on PCSX2.
Core i7 2700k 4.8ghz [] Coolermaster Seidon 240V [] 4x Coolermaster SickleFlow 120MM blue [] 12GB (4/8 Samsung 1600mhz DDR3 @ 1866mhz[] ASUS P8Z68-V
[] SoundBlaster Audigy FX [] Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury NITRO OC+ [] NZXT S340  [] SuperFlower Golden Green 550W 80 Plus Gold.

strange.
that CPU should be enough to get playable framerates.

what about your windows power plan ? did you set it to high performance ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

If you have GeForce Experience installed on your laptop, the Battery Boost feature will hard cap FPS to 30 when not plugged in to power. Make sure you are plugged in and also check your Windows power settings.

Also make sure that it's using the Dedicated GPU (NVidia) instead of Intel's GPU. You choose that in the Nvidia control center right?
