go back to default native instead of native x8.

You can try re-ripping your game maybe if it still occurs with all cheats off like you mentioned. Make sure you use imgburn for it.
I just tried this. Didn't help.

Seems like I've found a solution. I put the emulation settings on safest preset and it didn't crash. So now i'm gonna run tests to see what specific setting is causing the crashing.

Well lucky me. First setting I changed back to what I was using before seemed to be the culprit.
~On EE/IOP setting round mode to nearest causes the crashing.~
I had always used this setting in order to fix certain glitches in games. In FFX it would help fix backwards facing characters in battle and in MGS3 in a cutscene where snake pulls out his binoculars they would be floating away from his face. I had always changed this setting in older builds of PCSX2 and I just kind of kept the same settings until now. I guess now the emulator has gotten much better and doesn't need this setting to be changed.
