TLB Miss - Over the Hedge
#1
Hello,

I've been trying to transfer all of my ps2 games on my laptop so that I can play wherever I am (bringing my PS2 in a hotel is somewhat cumbersome).
All games work fine except one, which is Dreamworks Over the Hedge.

Basically, when I start the game (I always use Boot ISO (full)), the ps2 startup screen appears (with the stars spiralling or whatever it is) and then the "Playstation 2" label appears. Once it goes away the screen remains black. And in the PCSX2 terminal, there is this error message:

(EE pc:002280C0) TLB Miss, addr=0x3f80003c [load]

I spent the couple last days trying to find a solution. I searched this forum for solutions regarding the TLB Miss error and found threads with this error but on other games. I tried messing around with the VU, the clamping, etc. without success. And also activated the various game fixes and tried disabling the speedhacks but the game is still not working.

I also reinstalled a fresh version of PCSX2 and reburned the ISO twice.

I don't know if anyone can help me with this. I also suspect that maybe you'll need more info from the PCSX2 terminal but I don't know exactly what info you need and don't want to simply dump a huge log and beg for help. So if you need more info just tell me what you need and I'll be happy to share it with you.

Just in case you need my PC specs from PCSX2 terminal:

No I did not try that.

I left the disk back at home and will only be back on september 7 so I was hoping for a solution that would work with the ISO.

if the iso is faulty, you probably have no solution

So it would be a problem with the iso and not some pcsx2 configuration/bug?

If so then I'll try running it from the disc when I'll be back home. And if it works then it will mean I wont be able to play it on my tower at home. Because it does not have a disc reader. So I'll have to play it on my laptop.

Make your iso on your laptop, like you did the first-time,then transfer it to your tower

This has been fixed post-1.6.0, I recommend upgrading to one of the development builds you can find there: https://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/

I can confirm that using the latest revision (v1.7.0-dev-200-g87dc885a4) solved the problem. I can boot the game from the ISO and it works fine so far.

Thanks for the help.
