Tales of Abyss - Broken Cutscene
#1
I wasnt sure on the policy of reviving threads, so I decided to make another on this issue: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Tales-of-...ot-working

Quote:Hey guys, I'm having a problem with tales of the abyss. Game runs like a knife through hot butter and the graphics are great however, certain scenes get skipped over like the stagecoach ride out of the forest you get teleported too with Tear after the beginning.

It just shows the loading screen, music is playing the background then abruptly stops and shows him waking up inside the coach.

Any help would be appreciated, using default settings, no speed hacks or game specific fixes on version 9.8

My issue is as exactly described above. I'm using 1.0.0, but I also tried 9.8 and I had the same problem. I've messed around with the configurations and all that, all with the same result. The game otherwise runs perfectly at 60fps.

I understand this must be a problem on my end, but perhaps someone here can point me in the right direction at looking to resolve this. I have no clue where even to start.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I should note that I am running the Undub, could that be the problem? I'm not sure how it could, as the begging cutscenes are fine and the missing cutscene has no dialogue or subtitles which could make for complications.

The missing scene: http://youtu.be/MMvukAFxVLw?t=18m32s

The scene resumes after loading the black screen, and cuts to them in the coach.

EDIT2 Never mind. It's a problem with the Undub disk it would appear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb4Xek10w2M (note: mine doesnt stutter like his does)
