Tales of the Abyss... Help?
#1
Hey there, I'm a total spaz and I don't know a lot about computers, sorry!

Anyway, I've downloaded the pcsx2 and tried playing TotA, and as I'm playing on my laptop, I understand that I can't get the fps to 60, but I'm ok with it at 40ish, as I live in the UK and TotA was never released here, so playing it slow is better than not playing it at all!

But the game randomly crashes, when artes are used, when moving out of towns and at the end of some battles. I've tried various settings but nothing seems to be working, so can my laptop actually support me playing? And on top of that a DEP keeps telling me that pcsx2 is harmful, but I can't disable it for the pcsx2 application. =/

PS. I'm throwing all my settings up, sorry if it's too much!!

This is my emuLog;

First disable the game fixes. None are needed in that game.

Second I hate to tell you but Tales doesn't like speedhacks.
The hacks to disable are the EE cycle rate and the VU cycle steal hacks.
The rest of your configuration can stay as it is.
