Tales of the Abyss certain cutscenes not working

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with tales of the abyss. Game runs like a knife through hot butter and the graphics are great however, certain scenes get skipped over like the stagecoach ride out of the forest you get teleported too with Tear after the beginning.

It just shows the loading screen, music is playing the background then abruptly stops and shows him waking up inside the coach.

Any help would be appreciated, using default settings, no speed hacks or game specific fixes on version 9.8

Check your pad plugin for accidental button presses.
Other than that, really an odd issue
