That's a very old workaround that I posted there.
A few pages later in the topic I posted a newer GSdx version with the patch applied to it instead of the ancient GSdx that was originally used.
But in the 1.5.0 dev builds, halfpixel offset hack fixes it for a very large part already, so you can just use that as well. That way you won't have to run with high brightness and the skits/cutscenes will look fine.

How can I enable the halfpixel offset hack?
Edit: My bad, I finally found it on Advanced Settings and Hacks and didn't notice it at first. Looks like the cutscenes and skits look fine now. Thank you very much!
