Don't worry about it, I actually joined in on your thread before they closed it down. Might have been because of me why it was closed in the first place, so I'm sorry about that haha

after downloading you must figure which patch is the right for you, there are two:
AA5EC3A3 (this is the one that worked for me)
14FE77F7

place the patch in the (cheats_ws) folder of the PCSX2 directory file, and enable widescreen patches under system, and make sure you chose the 16:9 aspect ratio from config emulation settings 

and it should be working

I did download that folder at first, but then realized it's already included in the latest dev build as well. It a ZIP file called cheats_ws and I extracted on the cheats_ws folder.

I checked if both PNACH files were included and can confirm that they are, but the image is still being stretched. The log still says that no hacks were loaded.

Open the cheats_ws\PS2 Widescreen archive,extract the 14FE77F7.pnach file,rename it to 045D77E9 and place it back to the archive
