Tales of the Abyss problem

Hello this is my first time with ps2 emulations I might certainly doing something wrong... Anyway I did everything as the guide said and theres a graphic problem in TotA uhm the textures are uhm passing through each other or missing at some parts there are also some weird flashing triangles in certain spots o_O Tried different settings but ZeroGS doesnt work at all so im using the 3rd option . My specs are quad6600e 2.4 ghz / 2gb ram dd2 800mhz / GF 8600 gts 256/256 . If anyone knows proper settings for TotA tell me Smile I'd like to play it with normal graphic xD Other than that everything runs really good. Hoping for fast answer Smile

I am using Gdsx for settings :


Resolution : 1024 x 768 75hz

Renderer : Direct3D9 Hardware

Shader : pixel shader 3.0

Interlacing : None ( tried changing this but it doesnt do anything only make shake xd )

D3D internal res : Native or 1280 1024 doesnt change anything

Texture filtering : on
Alpha correction : on

All other off

Cpu settings : on the left side all on on the right only limit selected

Thats all i guess? Oh and I found another problem during cutscenes the sound gets a bit distorted ( slowed i think ) cause the game gets slowed down as well.

I'm not entirly sure what your problem is, but I think you complain about ghost images? Blurry Chars? If yes, the only way to turn that off is playing with native resolution. Missing textures or flashing triangles are odd, never had this. Try to grab latest beta plugins and pcsx2 from the thread in the forum and reconfigure it.

Use native and I hope the blurry, ghost image is gone.

I think that PCSX2 run with high HZ core2 duo CPU more fast than quadcore CPU.

Nah native makes the graphic even worse and doesnt help the thing is some textures are lets say transparent for example Luke his hair can be seen through his face and the other way around

Find an old GSdx (around .17 or so) and try again. What you're describing is the overbrightness blurring bug.
If you actually set the resolution back to native, it would disappear.

Uh its fine now not native res i just turned on logarythmic z no idea what it does but it fixed it dunno bout cutscenes though but we'll see o_O

Damn it the only problem left is speed >_< Best option is to run it at 3x speed hack then fights are perfect and everything else just the sound gets messed up badly =/ and crashes T_T on 2 x its ok but there are still some slow downs during fights which are not rly nice ... I dont quite understand it how come the game can run at so high fps with speed hack and normally it cant ... Is it my pc ? Or the game itself ? or emulation is so hard ... ehh i dont quite get this yet. Anyway if someone knows how to run the game with avg 55-60 fps and no messed up sound tell me please Laugh It's not like i cant play ... but some moments are damn terrible Sad

use 1.5x speed well
this game is not support over 1.5x speed hack.
post my setting for everyone
