Tekken 5 movement inputs not working

I recently built an arcade stick and i was testing it and for some reason the movement inputs aren't working on tekken 5, it works with other controllers i have but not the arcade stick, i also tested it on soul calibur 3 and it works there so i don't know what's wrong

Tekken 5 doesn't utilizes analog inputs like SC3. It uses D-pad which is digital.

I mapped the movement inputs to the dpad now and it still doesn't work

Must be something funky going on with your arcade stick since the game runs perfectly fine with a standard controller, which the game is designed to use. The emulator is designed to work with game controllers and can't account for whatever arcade stick you created. I mean you built a custom arcade stick that won't work with this game. What kind of help do you think we can provide?

Does it work with keyboard mappings ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS

Yeah, it works with other controllers, i tried going back to the 1.6 version of the emulator for the heck of it and it works there so idk what's up with that

Maybe your arcade stick isn't sdl/xinput compliant ?
Tried using sdl raw API option ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS

Can you please screenshot your controller settings>general settings tab ?
