Tekken 5 works slowly

i don't get it.

have a look here, same graphic card, different cpu, great fps
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Will-PCSX...#pid128790

the fact that his cpu is a x6 doesn't matter, as pcsx2 only uses 2 cores.

is a phenom II @ 4ghz really THAT much faster than an i3-540? o_O

it depends a lot on architecture, too.
this could explain that.
overclocking your cpu could help, maybe ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

BTW: If over clocking means that the performenc will be better, than I don't think it will help, because I can run everything in perfectly normal speed on my computer while in a fight in tekken 5 on the pcsx2.

to my opinion it is something wrong with the emulator it self.
to bad there isn't a setting I can change to make the pcsx double the speed of every thing... or is there?

A. I don't think that the problem is with the FPS Because other people that run thus game perfectly say they get about 50-60 FPS, and so do I, but for some reason my game is runnig in 33-50% from the game's true speed.

B. I'm not quiet sure that overclocking anything on my copmputer is very healthy for it... is it? and what IS over clocking? what does it mean, and what does it do?

It boosts your processor's speed for example if I had an Intel core2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz I could increase it's speed to about 3.0GHz with air-cooling(Yes the stock heatsink can be changed) also it would give enough speed to run most games at playable framerates in PCSX2 BUT research it a little bit more before trying it out also ask for someone's advice before doing it to your own processor

I think the problem is that my audio and video aren't working at the same time.
I realized it when I was playing story mode, and the charecters started talking but the video was on a delay.

BTW: I noticed that when ever the speed is working corectly, the EE thing on the top of the game says 100%.
can this be it?

well...

are you getting 60fps without speedhacks or with some speedhacks activated? cause some speedhacks can cause wrong fps readings.

disable all speedhacks and check your fps again.

and when video or the things that actually happen on screen is slower than audio, the framerate's to low. definitely.

whats the sychronizing mode you set in spu2-x (audio-plugin)? Async mix? there you got it.

set it to time stretched and you'll see that your audio will get... stretched.

So much trouble for not playing on your PS2...

You may:

Overclock your processor;
Overclock your video card;
Update all drivers;
Disable power options;
Disable cool'n'quiet;

And yet you won't get full speed on Tekken 5 at the current state of PCSX2, PERIOD. Get over it, man Wink
