Tekken Tag Tournament - PAL - SCES50001
#1
Hey guys =) Got a little problem =/
Been trying to get TTT to work on my rig =(

So basically, this is what happens...
1. I start the emulation
2. It goes all the way to the "Playstation 2" logo
3. It stays black indefinitely..

Been toying around with the settings trying to fix it.. but no dice =(
Other games run relatively well.. dunno whats with TTT =/

Rig : i7-2630QM / 8GB RAM / GTX 460M 1.5GB / Windows7 Home Prem. x64
PCSX2 version : 0.9.7 r3876

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, Tekken Tag is "broken" in the current public beta (r3878). It should be working again (and most likely better) with the next release.

TTT did run on the old beta (r1888), but it will most likely run slow on your laptop.

Strange how some of the earliest games for the PS2, seem to give the most problems....

You would have thought that early games, not using the PS2 to anything like its full potential, would be easier for the Emu to handle...

System:

Fractal Meshify C Dark Tint
Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi
Intel i9 9900K (5Ghz 1.335vlts)
BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 CPU Cooler
32Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200 DDR4
EVGA RTX 2080
512Gb Gigabyte NVMe SSD (Boot Drive)
1Tb Crucial NVMe SSD (Games)
2Tb Seagate HD (Steam)
3Tb Seagate HD (Media)
6Tb Seagate HD (Backup, External)
Corsair 850w RMX Gold PSU

Earlier BIOS's had the most hacks, so developers had to work around them. However in this case, it was my cock up Tongue2

Tekken Tag is a very harsh game to emulate.
PCSX2 1888 seems the best one to work with, I also replaced the default plugings that come with r1888 to the 0.9.7 3878 plugins.
it seems to give a little bost.

with PCSX2 0.9.7 4268 it did work again, but my system cannot get full fps even when overclocked to 4.4 GHz
In the the snowy stage I get 44-53 max (I have NTSC)
In ogre stage I get 35-50 fps with or without speedhacks.

also try what abdo123 suggested 1200x1200 resolution...
it most likely to work well that way.
but SW mode will kill your framerate not only in this game, but all tekken games.
This replay can help you get some speed in Tekken Tag If you have issues

it is just an option
