Textures of games like kingdom hearts 2 are soft and smooth but pcsx2 at native with default texture filtering or ticked it makes textures look grainy to the point I want to wonder why. Some games use mop mapping which I am aware of. I tried using the anistrophic filtering but only made textures more grainy but slightly more pleasant. Does the PS2 render textures differently or does it shrink the textures in a calculated manner?

The PS2 does texture filtering just like PCSX2 does when you tick "texture filtering", but you can't turn it off on the ps2
